They hate "Leaf lookers!" Yankees come down all buy up all the land. Driving up everyones taxes because the land is so pricy. Idiot visitors are always being recued, drivind up taxes. Tourist drive stupid in the mountains. These folks are clannish and jelious of everybody. High paying jobs are scarce. Dale got tired of the bullshit! Not a native myself I have found this small town to have some of the friendliest people I have met. I do not know the specifics about the museum, but have learned there are always two sides to a story. Maggie Valley has long attracted motorcycle riders and will continue to in the future. I would urge you to not bypass the area, but really spend some time here and get to know the people and the area. (http://www.maggievalley.org/)<BR/> This Press Release from Wheels through Time is extremely polite given the fact that the residents of Maggie Valley have not "walked the talk." I would have never stopped in this town two years ago if I had not heard absolutely wonderful things about the museum and Dales skill with and passion for all items displayed.<BR/> <BR/>Hopefully, every car and motorcycle magazine will check into reports that "Old blood" is required if a new resident is to be accepted. Then, I hope the magazines will publish the results in their respective periodicals. <BR/><BR/>Furthermore, once the museum is gone, I hope the townsfolk will finally appreciate the work of Dale and his crew and, actually, miss the roar of 2-wheel pipes.
